During his playing career, Giannakopoulos played as a right winger or attacking midfielder and was one of the best known Greek footballers internationally, due to his successful spells with Olympiacos and Bolton Wanderers as well as his appearances with the 2004 European championship-winning Greek national team.

The Greek Islands

Santorini is a favorite destination because of the combination of breathtaking topography and culture. The island's popularity is the only flaw. It is better to visit in May or early June. It's important to stay at a hotel in Ia or Fira atop the volcanic caldera. The views are amazing.

Santorini is one of the best places to visit only one island in Greece. If you're looking for a popular vacation spot, Crete, Corfu, Rhodes, Kefalonia are excellent choices.
